Over 15 years of specialist experience
As a specialist maths tutor, I support students from early years through to GCSE. I work with learners who need help rebuilding confidence, closing gaps in understanding, and preparing for exams, as well as those aiming for higher grades who benefit from deeper understanding and challenge.
My approach is structured and personalised. I bring over 15 years of teaching experience, including supporting students with dyscalculia, dyspraxia, maths anxiety, and those learning maths in English as an additional language, including students from international backgrounds.

Dyscalculia and Dyspraxia
Dyscalculia and dyspraxia are often misunderstood, and students with these difficulties are too often overlooked in a system that moves too quickly. I use structured, patient approaches that work with the way these students process information, not against them. With the right support, real progress is absolutely possible.
Maths Anxiety and Confidence
Maths anxiety is real and incredibly common. Many students arrive having absorbed the belief that they are simply not "maths people." My first focus is to challenge that story and replace it with real, hard-won evidence that they can do this.
EAL and International Students
Maths has its own vocabulary, and navigating it in a second language is an invisible extra challenge. I also specialise in supporting international students adjusting to the UK maths curriculum, bridging the gap between what they have learned elsewhere and what is expected here, so language and background do not obscure genuine ability.
Gaps in Understanding
Maths is cumulative. A gap from earlier years can quietly hold a student back for a long time. I find the exact point where understanding broke down and rebuild from there, so the rest of the curriculum clicks into place. Students with gaps are not behind; they simply need the right starting point.

Initial session
Gentle diagnostic
Our first paid session includes a gentle, low-pressure diagnostic assessment. This is not a formal school test. It is a chance for me to see how your child thinks and pinpoint precisely where the gaps are. Afterwards, I will share a clear roadmap of how we will move forward together.
Structured sessions
At their pace, not the syllabus
Weekly sessions build understanding step by step. I adapt as we go, spending more time where it is needed, moving forward when the foundation is solid. You receive clear, regular progress updates throughout.
Growing confidence
The real goal
Understanding leads to confidence, and confidence leads to performance. Most students start to genuinely enjoy parts of maths once it starts making sense. That is always the moment I know we have turned a corner.

I launched Maths Path Tutoring because I kept seeing the same thing: students who were genuinely capable, overlooked in a system that often moves too quickly and explains too little. The curriculum does not wait for understanding. I do.
My approach is rooted in a simple idea. If a student does not understand something, the answer is never to repeat the same explanation louder or faster. It is to find a different path. Sometimes that means going back further than expected.
I specialise in working with students who have been labelled as struggling or behind. Students who often just need someone to take the time to explain maths in a way that makes sense to them.
